SHIEN:
The main chassis comes with the back cover attached to its front, the sprues have to be cut and removed.
That cover is used if the Crystal Chamber is not installed. If the Crystal Chamber parts are installed, then the cover can be discarded.
The battery is installed first, with the wires facing the front of the chassis, in order to double them back into the wire channel.
There is a slot to insert the speaker the 22mm speaker (it needs to be secured using super glue or E6000).
Add the heatsink or NPX holder, with the switches installed.
Note: to easy the install, if tri-cree led is used, it is recommended to cut channels in the heatsink, similar to the NPX holder, so that it could be inserted from the back of the hilt).
It will also make thing easier to glue the heatsink or NPX holder on the chassis to avoid rotation when inserting the assembly into the hilt.
All wires are to pass through this dedicated channel.
Recharge port and kill switch are to be installed in this location, the recharge insert from inside the chassis, and the kill switch from outside (they need to be secured by glue).
1.5mmOD rods are used to attach either the back cover or crystal chamber parts.
The heatsink or NPX holder is secured by a set screw.
The chassis is secured at the same location as the black greeblie crew (or covertec screw alternatively).
Longer screws could be used to replace the hilt ones. Or the screw provided with the hilt can be shortened, in order to allow a small set screw to be installed underneath to lock the chassis.
SHOTO:
The battery is to be inserted first with the wires coming out on the back side of the chassis.
The battery needs to be secured with super glue / E6000 to avoid falling forward into the speaker.
THe the speaker is added, facing back as well (to be secured with super glue / E6000).
The Heatsink or NPX is added with the switches installed into it.
The wires are all passing through this channel
As the Large hilt, to ease the install if tri-cree led is used, it is recommended to cut channels in the heatsink, similar to the NPX holder, so that it could be inserted from the back of the hilt). It will also make thing easier to glue the heatsink or NPX holder on the chassis to avoid rotation when inserting the assembly into the hilt.
Recharge port and kill switch are to be installed in this location, the recharge insert from inside the chassis, and the kill switch from outside (they need to be secured by glue).
There are channel for the wires around the battery to pass wires under the soundboards and access the kill switch too.
Note: an earlier version of the cover model was missing the side channels for wires, if that’s the case, dremeling the channel into the cover will be required.
The cover are installed with 1.5mmOD rod in 4 locations.
The chassis is inserted from the back and the heatsink or NPX holder is secured by a set screw.
Same as the large hilt, the chassis is secured at the same location as the black greeblie crew (or covertec screw alternatively).
Longer screws could be used to replace the hilt ones. Or the screw provided with the hilt can be shortened, in order to allow a small set screw to be installed underneath to lock the chassis.
