Introduction

  • Disclaimer

GOTH-3Designs cannot be held responsible for any mistakes made by DIYers during their install. You must have a good understanding of what you’re doing, of the components used and the safety measures associated to them. Always wear protective gear when working on install (gloves, eye protection, …), GOTH-3Designs cannot be held responsible in case of accident.

  • Note #1

Always use the smallest wires to make your install easier. There can be big differences between one wire type and another for the same AWG specs. PTFE Wires with the smallest OD are recommended such as those sold at The Saber Armory. A good wire management is also required, routing wires properly helps a lot saving space.

  • Note #2

These instructions will not cover how to wire the soundboard, make sure to learn how to by reading the manual. We have also typical soundboards wiring available in the Padawan Tutorials. Always test your install along the way! Verifying that everything works after important steps is better than having to dismount everything because something wasn’t wired properly.

Quick Install Guide

  • Step 1 – Separate the parts using a Xacto knife or equivalent.

Step 2 – Install the switches and pass the wires on both the side exiting on the soundboard area.

Step 3 – Install the side plates with the four 1.5mmOD rods.

Step 4 – Install the negative battery contact.

Step 5 – Install the kill switch.

Step 6 – Install the 24mm bass speaker.

Step 7 – Install the positive battery contact.

Step 8 – Install the single crystal pixel and then pass all the through the channels on both sides of the switches.

Step 9 – Install the OLED cover plate with the 1mmOD rods.

Step 10 – Install the accent LEDs.

Step 11 – Install the soundboard

Step 12 – Crystal Chamber and Soundboard Cover assembly.
First, glue the crystal in the chamber.

The glue the 1.5mmOD rods into the chamber

Add the soundboard cover, but don’t glue it yet. First glue the 8 x 2mmODx2mm magnets on the chassis and cover assembly.

Once  installed on the chassis, it will give the proper spacing to glue the soundboard cover on the rods.

Step 13 – Install the heatsink or NPX holder.
Screw into the Heatsink or NPX holder short 4-40 rods, and lock it on the chassis with nuts.

Step 14 – Install the switches plungers.
Some clearance might need to be added using a drill bit to the plunger holder, so that the plungers slide without interference, and the spring have the needed space to do their work.
The plungers holder then goes directly on the hilt and get secured by screwing back the control box.
