  • Note #1

    Always use the smallest wires to make your install easier. There can be big differences between one wire type and another for the same AWG specs. PTFE Wires with the smallest OD are recommended such as those sold at The Saber Armory. A good wire management is also required, routing wires properly helps a lot saving space.

  • Note #2

    These instructions will not cover how to wire the soundboard, make sure to learn how to by reading the manual. We have also typical soundboards wiring available in the Padawan Tutorials. Always test your install along the way! Verifying that everything works after important steps is better than having to dismount everything because something wasn’t wired properly.

  • Note #3

    3D printed parts can have very slight accuracy variations. In some rare cases, some sanding or hole deburring can be required. Additionally, metal parts can arrive a bit bent, but are normally easy to bend back into shape. Consult the FAQ if you encounter issues with parts that cannot be solved easily.

CHAPTER 1 – Parts Preparation

    Install the rods, and the glue the magnets.

    From the prototype build shown in the vid, an additional magnet point has been added.
    The cover can take a 1mm thick magnets and the chassis a 2mm thick magnet, as shown below.

    The middle tube will need a slot milled as shown. This will allow the battery positive wire to enter the tube from where the battery tab is located.

CHAPTER 2 – Wires Management

CHAPTER 3 – Soundboard Install

  • 00:20:09 – Step 14 – Accent 2020 strip install
    Having a small 2020 strip over the soundboard is recommended for nice effect. Note that the chassis also allows to install more 2020 small strip just above the speaker. This is optional as it complexifies the install substantially (for skilled installers only).
    This video shows the install of these 2 additional strips in the next  Chapter 3 bis, but it is important to understand why the wires are managed the way they are in this step going from the strip, under the soundboard toward the back.

    A particular attention must be taken to the accent strip wires, in order to avoid them get in the way of the kill switch.

FINAL CHAPTER
