2- DIY empty hilts:

 The Saber Armory by KR-Sabers

3- Electronic components and blades:
Saber electronic components are basically more or less similar from one saber to another. You’ll need a main Led, a Battery, a recharge port, one or two switches, a soundboard, accent leds, a speaker and wires. Then the blade is the last part of your saber, they are usually made from PolyCarbonate tubes + tip.
Again, you can find most of what you’ll need at The Saber Armory. Local electronic shops or online stores like Digikey are also a good source.
Soundboard, the “heart” of our sabers is the Soundboard, here are the 2 major Soundboard producers:
Plecter Labs – from the entry level Nano Biscotte to the high end Crystal Focus.
Naigon Elelctronic Creations – from the entry level Spark 2 to the high end I2.
Battery, Single 18650 (3.7v) or 2 x 18350 (7.4v)
⇒ Recharge Port, 2.1mm port is used on these chassis (kill key included in the chassis kit).
Battery charger, according to the battery voltage used.
 Main Led, Tri-Cree XPE-2 recommended
Heatsink, custom heatsink recommended to work best with the chassis, sold by The Saber Armory.
 Switches, tactile switches, see instructions.
 Speaker
Kit Fisto => 20mm Speaker
Luminari Unduli / Plo Koon => 24mm speaker
Barriss Offee / Shaak Ti / Adi Gallia => 28mm speaker
Bargraph socket, (optional for the Barriss, Shaak Ti and Ki-Adi Mundi hilts) => this model
Accent Leds, 5mm led for the hilt accent led is required, 3mm leds for any others (optional)
Wires, 30awg wires are mandatory on most our 3D Printed chassis. We are buying them from this eBay seller.
Heat shrink tubing, to protect your solder joints.
 RICE port
– a floating RICE port can be added with a micro jst port. Ex on ebay.
1″ OD blade or 7/8″ OD blade (except Barriss Offee) for the main blade.

Quick Install Guide:

(step by step)

Note 1: 30awg wires and smaller are mandatory for this install (30awg for main wires and 32awg  for accent leds and switches are highly recommended)…. Oh and definitely use colored wires to make your life easier.

Note 3: These instructions will not cover how to wire the soundboard, make sure to learn how to by reading the manual. make sure to test your install along the way! Making sure everything works after important steps is better than having to dismount everything cause something wasn’t wired properly.

Note 4: GOTH-3Designs cannot be  held responsible for any mistakes made by DIYers tho. Thanks!

Note 5: Recharge port wiring reminder:

MULTIBOARDS ADAPTIVE CHASSIS

Kit Fisto

The chassis has 2 parts that come attached, so then need to be cut and separated.

Install the led into the heatsink (available as The Saber Armory), which is attached using 4-40 rods to the chassis (using hex nuts to secure it).

The battery goes into the top part, as well as the switches.
The switches need to be aligned with the led holes, and the accent leds will act as plungers. Insert the heatsink/chassis assembly to spot the right switches place.

Once the top wired and ready, insert the assembly from the top of the hilt (having the accent leds wired and in place), the emitter will then secure everything (there is a lip on the led module for that. Enough length of wires is required for the led, battery and switches to go through the hilt and allow soundboard wiring from the pommel.

For the back part of the chassis to slide in / out, the screw producing inside the hilt must be sanded (Dremel).

Wire and install the recharge port first, then add the 20mm speaker. The recharge port wires go on top of the speaker and then the speaker cover can be glued on top.

Wires the soundboard to the rest and insert it for the bottom of the hilt.

Luminari Unduli / Plo Koon

According to the hilt used, (Lumi or Plo), holes have to be drilled in the chassis as shown below (either for the 2 small screws or the big one). This will secure the bottom part of the chassis.

Insert the 28mm speaker from the side and pushing it down into the dedicated slot. There is wire channel over it for the recharge port.
Install the battery.

Located where to install the switches on the channel to face the plungers. Leave enough wire length for the battery, switches, speaker and recharge port to allow soundboard wiring from the top of the hilt.

Install the led into the dedicated heatsink (available at The Saber Armory) and insert the module into the chassis upper part. Holes on the side of the heatsink can align with matching holes on the chassis, it allows the heatsink to be secured using 1.5mmOD rods (additional security, not mandatory, as the led module normally press fit into the chassis and stays in place).

Wires the components between upper and bottom chassis parts, then insert the chassis. The SD card access is possible by sliding out the chassis top.

Barriss Offee / Shaak Ti / Adi Gallia

The soundboard, speaker and recharge port are installed in the bottom part of the chassis.
Leave enough wire length to connect the components from the bottom chassis to the top part.

A bargraph socket can be installed.
Add the switches in the dedicated channel, they must match with the accent leds holes on top part of the hilt.

Add the battery and connect top and bottom components together.
